Steam Goes on Autumn Sale: Some Titles, Price Drops, and the Ending Date

Gaming fans on PC (or, okay, on Steam Deck since recently) have always been looking forward to the next Autumn Sale. It always brings numbers of AAA titles as well as hidden indie gems for irresistible prices, considering the trends. So, what’s on sale in autumn 2022, and how long will the sale last? Now, it’s official.

By the time you’re reading this, the sale has already started (and we hope it hasn’t ended yet). The biggest online game store has announced it beforehand, and the actual sale started on November 22 and will last until November 29. It will bring quite a lot of titles every gamer has heard of but some haven’t purchased yet. At least, on PC.

With discounts going as high as 91% off the normal price, the Steam Autumn Sale features titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Hitman 3, and more AAA games. There is also the sensation of 2022, Stray, a cat simulator set in a postapocalyptic world. The iconic Slime Rancher’s sequel is also on this sale.

There aren’t any games going completely free, unlike, say, Epic’s weekly giveaways which have made Epic the favorite store for many. Where else could you have grabbed a licensed copy of GTA V, Borderlands, or Jurassic World Evolution for free? Well, while on Steam Autumn Sale there isn’t any price reduced to zero, many of them go infinitesimal.

When it comes to iconic AAA titles, Steam sometimes makes offers one can’t refuse, and it finds the moment right. Old games may become gold again if the moment is right: for example, in 2019, just as Netflix released the first season of The Witcher, Steam put The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on sale. It resulted in record numbers of players: the game became hotter than it was right after its release in 2015. It can happen again with Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077 (which has fixed nearly all of its infamous bugs), and literally any game with potential. Even Stray, still hot without any sales, may benefit seriously from this offer.

Have you already grabbed a game or two on this sale? Which other sales would you expect and recommend to others? Please drop some names in the comments if you please!
