This functionality seems to enhance the multi-account capability, allowing individuals to operate two WhatsApp accounts on a single device seamlessly. This initiative provides users with the flexibility to choose how they want to synchronize their contacts from their address book. This addition complements other beta features that have been rolled out recently, including a convenient option for marking all conversations as read in one action.

The latest insight from feature tracker WABetaInfo reveals that this contact synchronization capability will empower users to control how their address books are synced when accessing WhatsApp on various devices. Proof of this particular attribute was identified within the beta Android version 2.24.18.14 of WhatsApp. Once it is officially implemented, users will reportedly have the ability to select specific contacts for synchronization across different accounts on their devices.

A screenshot supplied by the feature tracker showcases the revamped user interface with the indicator “Keep your contacts separate for each account.” Besides managing contact synchronization, this function reportedly enables users to oversee WhatsApp contacts from their linked devices.
